Cormac’s Letters to William

There were three extant letters from Cormac McCarthy in the William Gay archive. William sold one of the letters to raise money for the health care expenses of his youngest daughter after she was diagnosed with cancer. William approached his friend Ron Rash and offered to sell one of his letters from Cormac McCarthy. Ron was a good friend and ended up purchasing the letter at a time when it really helped William deal with a tough situation in his family. Ron Rash has indicated he plans to place the letter in the McCarthy archive.
